  • The New York Times issued an editorial entitled “The Trouble With Fantasy Sports Gambling.”
  • The New York Post reports quite a few New Yorkers are upset with AG Schneiderman’s actions (including NY legislators).
  • This WSJ article explains why the AG cannot shut down DFS websites on his own.
  • In light of AG Schneiderman’s cease-and-desist letter, four DFS providers (DailyMVP, DraftDay, DraftOps, and MondoGoal) have withdrawn from the New York market.
  • The Maryland legislature is considering whether to hold hearings on fantasy sports.  (Never mind that fantasy sports are already legal in Maryland.)  The state comptroller, which has jurisdiction to regulate fantasy sports operators under the Maryland fantasy sports law, may be investigating DFS operators.
  • According to the New York Post, the NFL is probing the legality of daily fantasy games and has no interest in assisting the DFS companies.
